Tsunami Articulated Steam Loco Chuff

Good news!

You can buy any of our steam decoders to get an articulated chuff, which is set by adjusting CV 112.

You can even select a wheel-slip effect to reproduce the sounds of the chuffs moving in-and-out of sync at four rates: none, slow, medium, and fast.

So, you can select from any of our steam decoders that has the whistle (or collection of whistles) you want.

To try this feature, set CV 112 to a value of 113 to select an articulated chuff with a fast wheel-slip rate and dual airpumps.

Now, set your throttle to speed step 10 and listen to the realistic sounds of your Mantua as it moves along your track.

For more information on CV 112, please refer to “Exhaust Control” in the “Sound Programming” section of the Tsunami Steam User’s Guide.
